Bespoke Designs

  • You're welcome to get in touch either through our Contact form or by email. We only take on around 3 to 5 bespoke projects every year, due to the very limited number of slots available we carefully check all incoming inquiries. We highly appreciate if you share details and style of the event with us to give us an idea of the overall feel(wedding planner, location, florals, colors, venue, suppliers) as well as desired timelines. If we're able to take your project in, we'll schedule a call to brainstorm and set up a concept followed by a custom proposal for you to review and approve.

  • The earlier the better! We need approximately 8-12 weeks to complete your project from start to delivery-ready stationery, depending on the size of your project. We recommend reserving your place on our production schedule as soon as you know your wedding date and venue, to guarantee your desired timeline as we usually have a waiting list of about 2-4 months.

  • We have set up a comprehensive design process that helps us understand your aesthetics and wishes in the best possible way. That said, it can happen occasionally that a first proposal isn't a love match just yet. In that case, just be absolutely honest with us (we can take it, no worries) and we will schedule a call to get a deeper insight before getting back to the design boards and work out something that you will absolutely love.

  • All bespoke orders are scheduled upon proposal approval and a booking deposit. Once your booking process is complete, you will be reserved an 8 to 12 week slot on our calendar for the complete design and production of your stationery. You will receive a timeline overview that will include when your design process begins, intermediate steps and estimated delivery dates. As most bespoke stationeries include everything from Save the dates through to invitations and Day of, we will schedule in the according time slots at the beginning of our project depending on the size of each project phase.

Design Collection

  • The earlier the better! We approximately need 4-10 weeks to complete your project from order to delivery-ready stationery, depending on our current work load and size of project. If you wish for a specific timeline, please discuss availability with us prior to ordering. We recommend reserving your place on our production schedule as soon as you know your wedding date and venue.

  • Select your preferred design from our Design Collection overview page.
    Invitations are the items that should define your choice, any other printed goods can be adapted to fit your preferred invitation style. You can also add an extra card from another design if it suits your needs better, we will adapt it to fit your invite design during the design process.     There are drop down selections for printing technique, paper choice and quantity in our Online Shop. Selecting each drop down according to your preference will show you the final price below the picture. To place your order you only need to know the type of printing, paper and quantity. All other details will be defined later in the process.
    Once your order has been places, we will contact you within 3 working days with a Styleguide and order form for you to compile. Once we have everything necessary to start, we'll get to the design work. Expect to receive your comprehensive preview within 10 working days. Your preview will feature stacked items as well as all printed goods by themselves and any embellishments and details.

    One round of revisions is included in the package, which includes minor text and layout changes.

    Further additional changes will be charged at 45,00 €/correction and print item. If your want to change to another design or have bigger changes, extra charges based on the amount of work necessary apply (this doesn’t include custom drawing work).

    Once approved, all items are going to print. Once you give your OK for production, any changes in the design or the quantity are subject to additional expenses depending on the progress of the printing process.

    Print production takes about 2 to 4 weeks upon approval, depending on the size of your project.

    Production increases by 1-2 weeks if your order includes handmade papers or embellishments.

  • Our Collection is designed to create a great base to work from and make it your own. We have selected a curated choice of fonts, colors and illustration options to chose from. Each design has different possibilities to personalize. Print technique, print color, envelope color, name and text fonts and paper types and colors are customizable in any design suite.
    Some suites feature a monogram that can be personalized or venue illustration.
    Further personalization upon request (additional costs apply).

  • Yes, of course! We're happy to give you more information about all the beautiful ideas we have for your big day!

General

  • Yes, we absolutely love to draw and paint in watercolor and we are keen to use only original artwork made by us for your invitations.

  • Carissimo Letterpress retains all rights to the designs and illustrations that we create. Any High definition file sent to you can only be used for the specific occasion and use specfied.
    If you would like to get exclusive rights of use to the designs, please inform us and we will provide you with an appropriate quote.

  • You will be granted exclusivity over your bespoke artwork for 6 months after your event, unless negotiated otherwise. Please note that occasionally compositions are created by assembling multiple painted individual elements, either existing, new or in combination. We reserve the right to reuse individual elements any time. The granted exclusivity is for the composition, not the individual elements. 

  • When ordering a personalized project, we might share it on social media and our website for promotional purposes after your event has occurred. No personal details specific to client (such as phone numbers, email addresses, private addresses, etc.) will be used in future artwork, and will be hidden when publishing. Please let us know if you wish for any further information to be omitted.

  • Yes, we offer a sample package in our online shop, that will give you a feel for the papers and designs you're interested in.

  • Shipping will be charged to you once the items are ready for send out. Our stationeries are shipped via UPS with standard delivery times usually 3 to 5 business days depending on your location. UPS packages include a shipment tracking number, but once your items are shipped we have no control over the progress of your shipment and only have access to the shared tracking details. We are not responsible for any loss, delays and damages during shipping. We recommend ordering your paper goods as early as possible to allow for transport and customs in your country.

  • We apply the tax of your delivery country to your order for any orders within the EU.
    Be sure to note that orders may be charged tax upon entry to your country if you are located outside of the European Union. Any customs and import taxes that may apply will be the customer's responsibility.

  • Due to the handmade nature of our stationery suites, they are non-refundable and not eligible for exchange or return. We don't take responsibility for spelling errors and final wording check is the client's responsibility. Upon request we offer proof reading by a professional in various languages(extra charges apply). Handmade papers may vary in thickness, edges, surface and touch, which is to be considered part of the paper's character. Once your final confirmation on files is submitted, printing has started and your order cannot be cancelled or changed(without extra charge).

  • We print for external designers upon availablity. In order to guarantee a high level of quality we only accept files created in professional design programs like Indesign and Illustrator. Unfortunately we cannot print files created in Canva, Word or Photoshop.
    We accept high res printable files in PDF. This means that everything (really everything!) must be converted to vectors or embedded in bitmap. We generally recommend a resolution of at least 300 dpi (600-900 dpi is even better).
    All files need to be in 100% Black, CMYK and exported with crop marks.
    Files for prints on handmade papers need to be at least 2 cm from the edge of the paper and be exported without cropmarks.
